Ruth asks…

How big height wise will a teacup yorkie get???? I need to no because i have height and weight limits!?

weight answers:

Since a “teacup” yorkie is not a real breed there is no way predict how big some random dog will get. If you are worried about height/weight requirements that much why not go to a shelter and adopt and already grown dog that meets them.

If you are renting and the requirements are as strict as a certain height + weight, I doubt your landlord wants you bringing a puppy in to mess all over the floor anyway.

Sharon asks…

How big will my puppy be when she is full grown?

I have a 4 month old female Yorkie. I took her to the vet this morning, and she weighs exactly 3 pounds. How big do you think she will get when she is full grown? When do they stop growing?
No. she doesn’t have big feet.

weight answers:

The breed standard stipulates that Yorkies must not be over 7 pounds and, on average, adult Yorkies fall between a petite 5–7 pounds. (Remember, however, that some Yorkies are smaller and some are larger.) In terms of body structure, everything should be in proportion and just, well, fit. Take his weight at three months and double it. If your 3-month-old Yorkie weighs 3 pounds, he’ll weigh close to 6 pounds as an adult. A 4-pound 3-month-old will weigh about 8 pounds, and a 14-pound 3-month-old probably ain’t a Yorkie at all.

Donald asks…

my yorkie pup is 16 weeks and 5lb how big will he get by the time he’s an adult

weight answers:

Current weight is not a good predictor of future size. Pups go through growth spurts which are nearly always preceded by a tubby phase. On top of that, some people over- or under-feed their pups.

Instead, look at his father. That’s the best estimator you have of what size he will be when fully grown. If your dog were a female, you’d look at the mother instead.

Joseph asks…

I have a 6 month yorkie and she is still pretty small how big will she get?

well mostly i just wanna know

weight answers:

Well my yorkie is 10 1/2 months old she weighs just about 3pounds she was 1/2 a pound when i got her so take her to the vet or to the pet smart and weigh her she will probably be double her weight from when she was 3 months old so if she weighed 2pounds at 3months old she should be close to 3 1/2 to 4 pounds now and by the time she is 1 year she may weigh 7-8 pounds which is perfect

Lisa asks…

How big (in lbs) will a lhaso apso yorkie mix get when it’s grown?

weight answers:

Probably 6-12 pounds. My Grandmother bred yorkies and they were usually 6 pounds and my friend has a lhasa apso who’s 11 pounds.
