This depends in part on the volume of the kibble pieces. Large, chunky pieces will fill your measure with less food than would a fine, flat kibble. I’m feeding a 13 year old, 85 lb. Golden Retriever and an active 70 lb., 2 year old Lab, a TOTAL of 4 cups of kibble per day. The Lab gets a well rounded cup, the Golden a scant cup. On average, I’ll go through a 15 lb. Bag of Avoderm, Canidea or California Natural in just under two weeks; a 15 lb. Bag of Taste of the Wild is highly concentrated and lasts an extra three or four days since I feed a bit less.

More food needs to be fed with lower quality kibble (i.e. Beneful, Old Roy, Purina, Purina 1, Priority, Iams) because the primary ingredient is corn rather than meat, poultry or fish.

You’ll probably get a 9 to 11 days from a 15 lb. Bag if you’re feeding a level two cup scoop. It would be more cost effective to purchase a larger bag.

Just fill up the bowl with sum dog food.(i use pedegree)
my dog loves tha stuff.
We give him wet food also and he never gains a pound, and he’s a lab chow mix.
So u should just feed tha dog tha food and he’ll eat wat he wants.
As long as he’s gettin planty of exersize then it really shouldnt matter how much wieght he’s gaining…unless hes obviosly a fatass.hahaha.

Research BARF diet – you’ve had some ridiculous answers on here.
My dogs are fed on raw minced tripe (green tripe, not the white stuff you can get from the butcher) , beef & lamb, I buy in bulk and freeze it, they also have uncooked bones, chicken carcases (raw, of course) raw eggs (a couple a week), tinned sardines, raw minced veg. They also have ordinary wholemeal mixer.
They rarely have digestive problems (usually from eating something decomposing that they’ve found), never have skin problems or allergies and have excellent coats & plenty of energy!
Well done on not wanting to feed her on 100% processed food which is what commercial diets are. I wouldn’t want to live on a diet of processed food & don’t expect my dogs to either.
